I would probably self-identify as a female rural West Coast (of USA) Caucasian, but that wouldn't include, as labels often don't, my journey from a small monocultural mill town to a solo sabbatical in six countries (in '91). Now I'm on to the exciting sojourn of retirement (from full-time worklife five years ago). I love travel and art and aesthetics, as well as almost all cats and dogs I've met. This blog is just for fun and experimenting with the tools. It should be amusing...

SOME OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO STAY

Here are Some Delightful Spots We Like to Visit:

http://www.moteldelrogue.com: Reasonable, friendly, with great innkeepers, and a gorgeous riverside setting near Grant's Pass. OR! We've been visiting this delightful place for the last five years. Some of my friends and I have an annual "Cooling Women" retreat here, while the husbands go somewhere else.

http://www.sailorjack.com: This is a real bargain, some thirty steps above a very long, wide beach in Lincoln City, OR. There is a sauna on the second floor. We recommend staying on the bottom floor so you can enjoy the little balconies. Pets are welcome in some rooms, and it's near a discount outlet, ( with Coldwater Creek!), as well as a huge casino.

http://www.wheeleronthebay.com/index.shtml: This little gem is right on Nehalem Bay further up the Oregon Coast. Most rooms have great tub-saunas, you can rent a kayak, and the wildlife is terrific!

http://www.coyoteinn.net/: This is where I'd take my friends if I won the lottery. Home of those sunbathing pugs.
