One of our Favorite Places is The Ranch

Just twenty minutes from our place, but in a very different micro-climate, the Cardoza ranch is a favorite destination all year long. Now at harvest time, fruit and flowers and veggies abound. Here are some pix from a recent visit.

Summer is waning...

...but you can't tell by the weather, only through a very few little leaves and ferns which have already turned yellow and red. Yesterday we hiked from a McCloud, CA campground up to the gorgeous Middle Falls, a two-pronged waterfall with lovely clear pools and rushing crystal waters. Here's a short video of the falls I found on YouTube.

The area around Mt. Shasta is rich with forested sites, mountain lakes and streams. Come enjoy them!
